The Beyond team have been working on some exciting new resources. These resources are fully compatible with the White Rose Maths Secondary KS3 scheme of learning. We caught up with the Maths team to see how they are approaching this new project.
What do Beyond offer?
The Beyond team have written one worksheet for each Small Step in the White Rose Maths scheme of learning. These can be used in lessons or as a homework if you need students to target a particular small step.
Each worksheet has up to 10 questions, including questions to help students get a deeper understanding of the concept. The challenge questions are still focused on the small step but are more open-ended and will allow for class discussion.
How do the questions challenge students?
In the example above, you could explore the idea that repeated addition is the same as multiplication. This could lead to discussion around equivalent operations such as ÷ 2 and ×\(\frac{1}{2}\).
We are currently focusing on the first half term of Year 7, but we are planning to expand this. You can try our resources for free right here.

What are your next steps?
We are planning to write some worksheets that will cover multiple small steps in one resource. These can be used as homework or as revision resources to help prepare your students for an assessment. These will start appearing on the website soon, so make sure you keep an eye out for them!
We hope this has given you some clarity on our available secondary Maths resources that are compatible with the White Rose Maths Secondary scheme of learning.
